A WORD FROM THE AUTHOR
"To me, Chingay is a big, big event, with big floats, big performance, big lights, and big everything. So how do we make that relevant for small children? I wanted to write a Chingay story that children can relate to and share with them that Chingay is for everyone, whether you are big or small, young or old.
Working on this book was a huge learning experience for me. Now, I truly understand that Chingay is not just a street performance, but it is about us coming together as one people, celebrating our diverse cultures and races. The true heart of Chingay is Unity, Colour, and Joy, and I hope this book can inspire children to dream big and believe that the smallest ideas can shine when we work together as one."
